Among them, Ngoc Vung is the largest inhabited island with a long-standing community. The name “Ngoc Vung” comes from a rare type of pearl oyster. Currently, the only residents are a young couple who rent a portion of the waters in Bai Tu Long Bay for aquaculture. Recently, they started offering services to tourists visiting the island. Living with them are four fishermen who primarily engage in aquaculture and assist when groups of visitors come to the island.
The Vang Island
The Vang Island is located in the archipelago of Thang Loi Commune, Van Don District, Quang Ninh Province, situated in Bai Tu Long Bay. There are several routes to reach Golden Card Island. Visitors can reach the island by boat from Vung Dung Port or Cai Rong Port.
